Mr Joseph Goh 

Joseph is an international award-winning photographer. As an Associate of Master Photographers Association (UK) & The Royal Photographic Society of Great Britain, he has achieved various accolades from The Master Photographers Association (UK), International Photography Awards (US), FEP European Professional Photographer Awards and recently, he has been crowned the Hasselblad Masters 2014.

Since 2009, he has clinched numerous awards in international photography competitions. Driven by the urge to make his mark, he’s spent the time since then acquiring the skills he needs to run his business and entering numerous international competitions, success in which has helped him to acquire an international reputation. He has also taken part in many exhibitions, while his work has been widely published in magazines all around the world.

 

Mr Bernard Teo

Bernard is a professional photographer with over 20 years of experience capturing moments and creating stories. He has since helped more than 100 of clients encapsulate precious moments as visual stories for them to relive in time to come. His passion for visual storytelling urged him to pursue a Masters of the Arts in Photojournalism and Documentary, attaining a distinction from the University of the Arts London in the UK.

Other than visual storytelling, he was also commissioned by companies to produce marketing images of food, interior and fashion. As an educator, Bernard is a MOE qualified CCAs instructor for schools, he also conducts workshops for Canon Singapore on a regular basis, teaching both photography and video production. In these courses, he imparts knowledge on how to effectively use visual storytelling as a tool to relate stories of their businesses and products.

Bernard’s heart is for the next generation. He is using education as a platform to help them understand the fundamentals of visual storytelling. He would like to share this skill with as many who are keen on learning.

Mr Chow Chee Yong

Chow Chee Yong graduated with a BFA (Honours) degree in Photography in 1994 from Western Michigan University, USA. In 1998, he received the JCCI Art Scholarship, which brought him to Musashino Art University, Tokyo, Japan where he received his MA (Distinction) degree in Photography. He has participated in more than 40 solo and group exhibitions in galleries and museums in China, Hong Kong, Germany, Japan, Malaysia, Singapore and the United States of America.

 

His works have been featured in publications such as Nippon Camera, Asahi Camera & Photographs by the Next Generation: Young Portfolio (Japan), Resonance - Songs of our Forefathers (Singapore), among many others. He was featured in Channel News Asia’s Primetime program - Asia Exposed in 2010 and was the first and only Singaporean among 15 photographers from around the globe to be recognised and incepted as one of “2011 Loweprofessionals”.

 

His original prints can be found in a number of museums, galleries and private collections in various countries. Besides being an image-maker, he has been in Jury Panels, Curator, Mentorship programs, and Speaker at Conference/Seminars.

 

Chee Yong joined the School of Design as a Photography lecturer and has been teaching various topics like Narrative Photography, Studio Lighting, Landscape, Architecture, Conceptual Imaging, and others. His interest is also in the area of sustainability and issues revolving the underprivileged. From photography topics to areas of design, he has not deviated much from those areas.

 

He is currently also a Senior Manager at the BeyonDesign Centre and takes on the role of championing Collaboration and Doing Good through Design. The projects that the BeyonDesign Centre undertakes revolves around these two points and the Centre has worked with the ArtScience Museum, SATS-Food, BRF, Golden Travel Services and other organization to bring about change by doing good through design in a collaborative manner. He has been with the centre for about three years and looks forward to working to inculcate the students through responsible design.
