Winning Teams
1ST: Felix Isaac Lim, Jayden Seah, Danny Anaqi Putra
Hillgrove Secondary School

This team has captured a variety of places that has a certain significance to Singapore. Their technical abilites were strong enough to handle harsh lighting and night scenes. Though their shots were simple, they were easily understood. - Bernard Teo
I enjoyed the variety of the simple and not-so-usual kind of images. The mood and essence of each place is well captured. Deserving of a winning set - Chow Chee Yong
Well displayed of places that people would visit. The composition of the series are nicely executed and the jetty shot was interesting as it does show the different kind of activities. Well done! - Joseph Goh
2ND: Derek Chong Kiat (Zhang Jie), Chen Jing Shao@Rina Chen, Arya Abhay Deshmukh

I admired the team’s courage to approach the shop owners for the shots, which most young photographers would be afraid of rejections. The portrait are cleverly position and composed but could be better executed. This series does show the different trades, races & culture in Singapore. Good Job! - Joseph Goh
Very intriguing set of images that simply portray the current pandemic situation without making it too poignant. Also shows the variety of lifestyle and venues in a very subtle manner. Great work! - Chow Chee Yong
I love how this team uses people to represent the diverse culture we have in Singapore. There were only a couple of teams that had portraits of people. The portraits were captured technically well with good composition and lighting. They were also careful with the placement of the subjects to show the surroundings. - Bernard Teo
3RD: Regene Tan, Chen Hai Tian, Laura Lim
Anglican High School

Culture is very much embedded into the architecture of Singapore and this set portrays it well in a very simple but powerful way. The capture shows the intertwined of modern and traditional structures. - Chow Chee Yong
This was a simple and direct depiction of the many cultures we have in Singapore. The charm is clearly seen in these images captured. Framing and compostion were safe and straightforward. Just lacking in creativity. - Bernard Teo
I like this series of photos that portray the different places of worship & heritage buildings. - Joseph Goh
HONOURABLE MENTION: Anik, Rachel Neo Jia Di, Nurshamimi Binte Norshaidi
Unity Secondary School

Creativity was seen for almost every image submitted except for the photograph of the Buddha Tooth Relic Temple. They were brave to submit silhouettes and has also shown the ability to bring out the subjects with just outlines. Technically sound but not all the images were inline with their style. - Bernard Teo
Could be even stronger set of works if there's more exploration of subject matter and style. It is always difficult to put a set of work together especially from a team of different photographers. There seems to be 2 sets within this set. One of silhouette versus the "normal" lited shots. Good attempt. - Chow Chee Yong
The silhouettes shots have potential but could be better executed such as, better framing, level the horizon, sharper image, etc). With that, they could form a stronger and cohesive series. - Joseph Goh
HONOURABLE MENTION: Annette Chan, Fermann Lim, Samantha Ong
Kuo Chuan Presbyterian Secondary School

Interesting way of capture but some were too similar. More exploration could have made this set even better. The style and compositions are quite interesting for some of these images. - Chow Chee Yong
The exposure of the photos are well executed and I wished that the team could explore more locations apart from Marina Bay. - Joseph Goh
This team has shown to be able to handle capturing images in a low light situation which is not the easiest thing to accomplish. The down side is that it lacks variety as the images only shows a part of Singapore. But the idea of capturing their subject with foreground show creativity in created a non-direct approach. - Bernard Teo
HONOURABLE MENTION: Sharmaine Chia Xin Ern, Tan Kit See Jessica, Ng Jia Yi
Nan Chiau High School

This set is almost there but the photograph of SAFRA seems out of place. They should also try to venture in to other parts of Singapore to show the other charming architecture acound. Techinally sound with good framing and well composed images. I particularly like the photograph of a 4 piece puzzle of Marina Bay Sands Singapore which shows that they were thinking out of the box for creativity. - Bernard Teo
The series of architecture shot are nicely executed & I love the creativity of the shots. To make a better series, the “Safra” image could ideally be replaced with a stronger image. - Joseph Goh
There could be more consistency in terms of approach. Although variety is good, but it lacks the cohesive identity of a set of work. Very good attempt. - Chow Chee Yong
The organiser will be in contact with the winners for their prizes shortly.
